Celebrities turn out in force for Shooting Star

A star-studded line-up helped raise £15,000 for The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice at The Embassy Club in Mayfair in December.

The event, kindly hosted by Mark Fuller in his popular Mayfair venue, saw  families from Shooting Star get VIP treatment – a champagne and mulled wine reception, as well as Christmas Canapés and Afternoon Tea which had been prepared by Michelin Star Chef, Garry Hollihead.

A number of celebrities made the children’s day by coming along, including Lemar, Tony Hadley and EastEnders’ stars Linda Henry (Shirley Carter) and Cheryl Ferguson (Heather Trott) and Santa Claus himself made an appearance to hand out presents.

Audi UK brought along the new V10-powered R8 supercar and even Bugs Bunny and Scooby Doo joined in the fun, thanks to Cartoon Network.
