Nurses open new NatWest branch

Shooting Star nurses helped open a new branch of NatWest in Hounslow and were handed a cheque for £3,500 which had been raised through fundraising activities by local Natwest staff during 2008.

Paediatric Nurses Margaret Seager and Sinead O'Donovan were invited to cut the ribbon at the grand opening and collected the cheque from Branch Manager Seema Chadha. The Natwest team then continued their fundraising on the day by asking customers to adopt a NatWest teddy bear in exchange for a donation to Shooting Star.    

Seema Chadha, Branch Manager at Hounslow Blenheim Place, said: ‘We are very excited about our new branch and the whole team want to make a difference to the local community, so we were delighted that two nurses from our favourite charity could come along and help us cut the ribbon.’

Margaret commented: ‘NatWest have been very supportive towards Shooting Star and it’s nice to come along and meet some of the staff who have made that happen. We are indebted to local communities working together to support Shooting Star and this is an excellent example of a team doing exactly that.’
