Lisa's star jumps ![]() Radio and TV presenter Lisa Snowdon has announced she is doing two sponsored parachute jumps after being inspired by a visit to The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice. Lisa recently announced live on the Capital Breakfast Show she co-hosts with Johnny Vaughan that she would be doing a parachute jump in September. 95.8 Capital FM offered listeners the chance to join Lisa on the day and the event has proved so popular that she has now announced a second jump!
‘The idea came after I visited Shooting Star House,’ said Lisa. ‘Johnny had been there before and told me how I would feel, and it was amazing. I was so inspired I decided to do something for both of these fantastic charities.’ ‘I’ve never done it before and I’m already lying in bed at night wondering why I’m going to throw myself out of a plane at 10,000ft, but I really want to raise as much money as I can.’ The jumps take place on 13 September and 25 October in Oxfordshire and 95.8 Capital FM is offering listeners the chance to be a part of the challenge too. For more information about joining Lisa on one of her jumps or to sponsor her, go to www.capitalfm.com/jump Dalton Leong, Chief Executive of The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice, said he was delighted that Lisa is doing the jump. ‘Lisa was really moved when she recently visited Shooting Star House and it’s great testament to her that she’s putting that experience into action with not one but two brave jumps. I’d encourage everyone to sponsor her so she can raise a huge amount for Shooting Star and 95.8 Capital FM's Help a London Child.’

The money raised will be split between The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice and 95.8 Capital FM's Help a London Child, which provides financial support to grass-root projects for London’s less advantaged children. In 2007 Help a London Child raised funds to help Shooting Star build a much-needed extension at their hospice in Hampton, Middlessex.
