Michael's concert is 'one of the best'.

Michael Ball described his Christmas concert for Shooting Star as one of his best nights on stage. The singer, presenter and West End star entertained 600 guests, including PR mogul Max Clifford, at Feltonfleet School in Cobham, Surrey in December.
Michael’s 90-min set included Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now, Elvis Presley’s The Impossible Dream and hits from Hairspray the musical and afterwards he said it was a night he’ll never forget. ‘Quite simply I had one of the best nights on stage that I can remember. The level of support from my family, my fans, Feltonfleet School and my production team has been staggering and I owe them a huge debt of gratitude and I can’t tell you how proud I am for all that was achieved. Here’s to the next one!’
Jane Cooper, from Thames Ditton, summed up what a special night it was for all those who attended. ‘Michael put on an absolutely amazing show. It had all the spectacle of the Albert Hall in a really special intimate setting. Michael is obviously passionate about the wonderful work of Shooting Star and gave us a real insight into what they’re all about.’
In the run up to the concert, Michael twice visited Shooting Star House to meet families supported by Shooting Star and said it was an inspiring place. ‘It doesn’t feel like a sad place, a place of sickness. It feels like a place of life, a place of positivity. I’m in awe of the people working here because it’s a difficult balancing act that has to be kept going but they have got the atmosphere just right.’
The concert is set to raise £50,000 and Shooting Star’s Karen Sugarman, who coordinated the event, said: ‘I’ve been blown away by this fantastic concert. It has been such a pleasure and privilege to work with Michael and everyone involved and I will never forget it. It has helped bring a new audience and profile to Shooting Star and that is something we are truly grateful for.’
