The Shooting Star Children's Hospice has a chain of shops containing a wide range of children's clothes and toys, adult clothes, accessories, books, games and much more.
The shops play a vital role toward our care services, contributing £100,000 every year, as well as building awareness of Shooting Star on the High Street.
Five staff support more than 150 volunteers who give their time and expertise to keep the shops running. The merchandise on offer is generously donated by the public or by local companies.
- Pop into your local shop and pick up a bargain
- Donate your unwanted saleable items. A bag of good quality second hand clothing can raise £40, enough to pay for a family visit from Shooting Star's specialist Bereavement Team. If we consider items too worn for sale, they are sold on for reprocessing and onward sale to needy countries.
- Volunteer in one of the shops. Helping us in our shop is a rewarding experience and a great way to interact with colleagues and the general public looking to support Shooting Star. We need help sorting and pricing donated goods, preparing them for sale and making that important final sale.
