Andrew Cosslett


Andy Cosslett was appointed Chairman of Kingfisher plc in June 2017. Kingfisher is Europe’s largest home improvement company employing 70,000 colleagues under the B+Q, Screwfix, Castorama and Brico Depot brands. Andy is also Chairman of the Rugby Football Union.

Between 2015 and 2017 Andy was an Operating Partner of leading PE company, Advent International. During 2012 to 2015 Andy chaired the organising committee of the 2015 Rugby World Cup held in England and was CEO of Fitness First, the PE backed global operator of health clubs.

Between 2005 and 2011, Andy was Group Chief Executive of the InterContinental Hotels Group plc, then the largest hotel company in the world with a system of over 4500 hotels in 90 countries. During fourteen years with Cadbury Schweppes plc Andy held a variety of senior management positions, including Chairman Australia, CEO Asia Pacific and President Europe, Middle East and Africa. He was Chairman of Duchy Originals, the organic food business from 2006 to 2008.

Andy began his career as a marketing executive at Unilever with postings in Liverpool, Gloucester, London and Edinburgh. He played rugby for 25 years and is still a keen tennis player, golfer and sometime guitarist. Born in Manchester and educated there, he now lives in Richmond.

Andy joined the Board of Trustees in 2016.
