DESCRIPTION:This is a joint social for our bereaved and supported siblings aged 5+ to come together for an evening of lights and marshmallow toasting!\n\n\n\nBook a space for your child at our upcoming siblings event for both bereaved and supported siblings. This is a great opportunity for siblings to come together and make new friends! Please note\, this event is for siblings over the age of 5. \n  \nWe will be exploring the Wisley Glow event\, wandering through the magical trails and watching the light shows. This will be followed by marshmallow toasting and grabbing a bite to eat(all included). \n  \nThere will be ample Shooting Star staff and volunteers\, so your child is well supervised and will ensure they get the most out of this experience. \n  \nThe event will be held outside\, so please wear warm layers – Christmas jumpers\, hairbands or lights are encouraged (but completely optional)! \n  \nPlease ensure you drop off your child to a member of staff\, don’t drop off in the car park\, as we will need to see an adult and check waivers\, consent forms and contact numbers when you drop off. Drop off at 4pm. \n  \nPlease arrive at 7pm to collect – look out for the Shooting Star staff wearing the branded clothing when you get there.

Meet Santa’s reindeer up close\, take photos\, and enjoy some festive treats! \nThis event is wheelchair friendly\, but a little off roading is required. Please note this is an outside event\, so make sure to wrap up warm. There is parking onsite\, if you can car share then we would recommend that you do. \nFurther instructions \nThe postcode is GU10 2HL. You will see a small island with a tree planted in the middle – just in front of the black metal gates. When you arrive at the magical Silverbeck\, you will see black ornate gates and a buzzer. Be sure to press the buzzer for Silverbeck (not the farm). Wiggle your way down the driveway and keep going towards the barn. \nWe have families arriving after your slot as well! There is no ramp into the barn\, a slight step up\, so it might be a wiggle and a jiggle to get wheelchair users in\, but it’s possible! We also recommend wellies and coats are worn. \nPlease save slots for the children\, so if you can manage with one adult ticket and the rest children in your group that would be wonderful – thank you! \nDon’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to create lasting memories with your loved ones. SUMMARY:Light up a Star
DESCRIPTION:Please join us in celebrating and remembering the lives of your loved ones at our Light up a Star service. This remembrance service will include poems\, music and a moment of reflection as we all come together to light lanterns in memory of a loved one. The service will be followed by light refreshments\, a Christmas stall and a chance to talk and connect with each other. \nTickets are £5 (free for 12 and under) and include a Remembrance Lantern. Your Remembrance Lantern will be posted to you ahead of the event. We would encourage you to decorate your lantern in memory of your loved one and bring it with you to the service. \nIf you are unable to join us on the day the event will also be livestreamed on the All Saints Church Hampton YouTube page\, and will be available to watch later. Additionally\, if you would like to light a lantern at home instead of attending then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us via supportercare@shootingstar.org.uk. \nThis year\, we are delighted to say that you can pre-order some Christmas knitted novelties ahead of the service. You will find this option on the booking page. There will also be an opportunity to purchase Christmas cards and knitted novelties at the end of the service. The knitted novelties have been generously made for us by supporters and all proceeds will go towards Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. \nAs you may already know\, it costs £12 million a year to run Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. Just 29% of our funding comes from the government\, so we rely on our supporters’ generosity to keep our vital care service running. If you would like to make a donation\, we will have collection cans and card machines available on the night. We understand that this may not be feasible for all and encourage you to donate what you are comfortable giving. If you would like your donation to be added as a contribution to an existing tribute fund\, please mention your loved one’s name when booking. \nThank you for all your continued support and for making such a difference to the work that we do. \nPlease note that the venue is in the ULEZ zone. DESCRIPTION:Siblings’ holiday club is set to be a brilliant\, fun-packed day. With so many fun activities planned (5+\, including teens) at Shooting Star House. Groups will rotate through 4 different activities throughout the day\, including a fun-filled colour run\, with each group being adapted to ensure it is age-appropriate and fun for all. \nPlease drop off between 9.30-10am so we can start the day promptly. Pick up is at 3.30pm. \nOur siblings’ club helps children find comfort in being with other siblings and a chance to make some new friends or meet up with ones they have met before. \nAmongst several activities\, we will roll our jumper sleeves up and get our craft on and have lots of fun team-building games. \nActivities are supported by our Family Support team to ensure there is a familiar face to welcome them. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about the activities throughout the day. \nKit list: \n\nWaterproof coat\nWater bottle\nPacked lunch/last night’s dinner in a tupperware (NO NUTS or KIWI PLEASE)\nAny medicines in a named bag and handed to staff on arrival\n\nWe try to encourage children to be independent and say goodbye in reception. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our upcoming siblings day for both bereaved and supported siblings. This is a great opportunity for siblings to come together and make new friends!\nWe will have an hour of free jumping\, which will include use of the trampoline area\, giant airbag\, ninja course\, activity pit\, reaction walls\, giant slide and dodgeball court. This will be followed by 45 minutes in the party room\, with pizza\, chips and squash (all included). \nSpecial socks will be provided that we must wear at all times when on the equipment. Please ensure you drop off your child to a member of staff\, don’t drop off in the car park\, as we will need to see an adult and check waivers\, consent forms and contact numbers when you drop off. \nPlease drop off at 11am\, as the session will start at 11.30am. For pick up\, please arrive at 1.15pm – look out for the Shooting Star staff wearing the branded clothing when you get there. \nPlease note\, this event is for siblings over the age of 5+.

DESCRIPTION:Runs Monday 11 August – Wednesday 13 August\nBooking for Base Camp will close at 5pm on Friday 25 July \nThis August we are excited to be offering our very first Siblings’ Base Camp. This 3-day creative experience is a chance for bereaved siblings to form their very own music band and create music as a way to process grief. \nSupported by our creative and music therapists\, they will be writing and recording their own songs to process the difficult experiences that come with loss and grief\, in a safe\, fun and caring environment. Being able to get to know and share with each other can help bereaved siblings feel less alone. \nIf you are the parent or carer of a bereaved child or young person aged between 5-17 years old who may benefit from attending\, please click Enquire to register your interest and a children’s therapist will be in touch to help you decide if this group is suitable. \nPlease note it is important that everyone can attend all 3 days for this event so they can have the full experience. DESCRIPTION:We are delighted to share that Merlin Magic Wand has shared some tickets with us to their attractions for families to enjoy. You can choose from one of the following Merlin attractions to visit this year: \n\n\n\nThorpe Park\nLegoland\nChessington World of Adventures\nSea Life\nMadame Tussauds\nLondon Dungeon\nShrek’s Adventure\nLondon Eye\n\n\n\nPlease note that tickets are available for immediate family members only (parents or siblings) and are only for those who have not yet had tickets from us for any other of the Merlin attractions this year. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. \nPlease request 1 ticket per immediate family member attending (up to 5 members per family)\, and fill out the order form with your 1st\, 2nd and 3rd choice of attraction to avoid disappointment. Ticket codes will be sent to you directly once processed via our family support team email. We hope to send it to you by the end of July. Please note the Eventbrite confirmation email is NOT your ticket. \nOnce you have received your ticket code\, you can book the date of your choice through Merlin – dates are non-transferable. Please note that all tickets need to be used by the end of September 2025. \nPlease read all the information very carefully when your tickets are issued. If you need a wheelchair pass\, please make arrangements via the Merlin website before you arrive. If you arrive on the day without your wheelchair pass\, you will need to queue up and present your blue badge to get the passes that you need. Height restrictions may apply to many rides\, so please check the attraction’s main site to make sure it is suitable before requesting tickets. \nThe day is yours to spend how you wish! Tag up with other families to share your experience or make memories on your own; it’s up to you. Please do take photos and tag Merlin Magic wand and us\, we both love to see your photos! \nWe hope you have an amazing day!

DESCRIPTION:This summer holidays we would like to welcome all families to come and use the facilities at Shooting Star House. \nUse the soft play\, art room\, Lifelites sensory equipment and enjoy a craft or two. Bring a packed lunch and have a picnic before you go. \nPlease note your family must be supervised at all times in the building and we ask that no nut or Kiwi products are brought into the Hospice \nNo need to RSVP\, just drop in and fill a morning with us! \n10-12.30pm Every Monday in the Summer holidays except Monday 11th & Monday 25th August.
