DESCRIPTION:Due to the popular demand for theme park tickets\, we are delighted to say that Merlin Magic Wand has shared with us some tickets for Thorpe Park for families to enjoy. Please note that these tickets are only for those who have not yet had family tickets for any other of the theme parks this year. \nThe day is yours to spend how you wish! Tag up with other families to share your experience or make memories on your own\, it’s up to you. Children under 18 must be with an adult. Please read all the information very carefully when your tickets are issued. You will need a wheelchair pass that requires you to make arrangements before you arrive and height restrictions can apply to many rides so please check the attraction’s main site to make sure it is suitable before requesting tickets. If you arrive on the day without your wheelchair pass\, you will need to queue up and present your blue badge to get the passes that you need. \nTicket codes will be sent to you directly (via our family support team email\, the Eventbrite confirmation email is NOT your ticket) and are non-transferable to another date once you have booked the date of your choice. \nPlease reply with all the names of each family member known to SSCH who will be with you. \nIf you have already received tickets to another attraction from Merlin via us this year\, I’m afraid we must leave these tickets to other families. DESCRIPTION:REGISTRATION HAS NOW CLOSED but don’t worry\, you can still join us!  Please email events@shootingstar.org.uk for full information. \nPut your best foot forward this New Year and join us for the first Painshill Planet Walk as part of this year’s Shooting Star Space Race. \nThe first event of this year’s mission to return to Earth is a fully accessible 2.5k (or 5k) walk around the beautiful gardens of Painshill which has been transformed into an intergalactic planet trail.  With sensory activities and games along the route\, we are hoping you will join us as we power up our rocket and head home. \nFour-legged friends are of course welcome (on short leads) and prizes will be available for the best-dressed alien\, planet\, family and of course dog! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent and accessibility information\n\nFor entry\, you must arrive by 10am otherwise you will have to buy another ticket at the regular Painshill ticket price\nNo flashing lights\nThere will be ambient amplified music in specific areas of the walk. It will only be used as background noise and will not include loud bangs\nThe route is accessible to wheelchairs with a paved route all the way around\, the café and shop are also accessible to wheelchair users.\nAccessible toilets available at the café\nVisit the park’s website for information on how to get to Painshill.

Participate in an informal craft activity to remember your Grandchild\, and create something to take home with you\, if you wish. DESCRIPTION:Memory Day is a safe space to join other families in treasuring your memories and the life of your child. This year we will be holding three memory days\, and you can choose to attend whichever one you prefer. \nAt Memory Day you will be welcomed with a tea\, coffee\, shortbread and brownies. There will be a short service of remembrance featuring a video montage including photos of your child\, and a buffet lunch. You can create a craft in memory of your child or visit our ‘Wall of Love’. \nIf you have not done so before\, we would like to offer you a star for the Memory Tree in the Shooting Star House Memory Garden or leaf for the Memory Tree in Christopher’s Memory Garden. This would be engraved with your child’s name and there would be time for you to hang this yourself. We invite you to have a page in the Memory Book with a photo and words dedicated to your child. \nTo be as safe as possible\, Memory Day will be held at Shooting Star House\, with the opportunity to travel to Christopher’s after the service to visit or hang your child’s leaf in the Memory Garden. We are only able to invite parents and siblings. However\, if you are attending alone\, you can bring a friend or relative to support you. \n  \nSubmitting your information\nIn order for the video\, star\, leaf and Memory Book to be ready for your Memory Day\, it is essential that we receive your booking form by Thursday 28th April 2022. You will be sent a link to the booking form in the email confirmation for this event. \nPlease ring us with any questions or for help with this. \nWe do hope you are able to attend Memory Day and we look forward to hearing from you.
