DESCRIPTION:Flourish is a Music Therapy group for children and young people aged 7-10 years old who have a brother or sister who is supported by the hospice.  \nThis therapy group is a space where children can share their experiences with other children and explore their emotional world with support from one of our experienced therapy team members.  \nClick ‘Request a place’ and a therapist will be in contact to discuss the group in more detail. We ask that siblings attending this group aim to come to all sessions.  \nThe group will run over 8 sessions in total and will take place weekly from 14th April to 9th June\, with no session on 26th May due to the half term break.

DESCRIPTION:Join other siblings (aged 5+) in the forest to make crafts from nature and test your fire lighting skills! \nWe are excited to be working with Bushy Tail Tribe to enjoy a 2-hour forest school session in the woods. We will be making crafts from natural resources\, having a go at fire lighting with flint and steel\, before cooking a hot snack over the fire. There will be some time at the end for free play and lunch! \nPlease arrive at 10.30am\, so we can start promptly. \nPlease note that this is an outside event\, so wear layers appropriate for the weather. Please bring a waterproof coat\, in case it rains. There is parking on-site. \nFurther Instructions: \nBushy Tail Tribe is based on 35 acres of privately owned woodland. As you turn off Lyne Lane\, there will be a sign for Fangrove Park. Drive down this road\, keeping the caravan park on your left. You will reach a sign saying Wesbrook Farm and Bushy Tail Tribe\, follow the arrow to the right\, through some wooden gates. Follow the road down until you reach a second pair of gates (with a Bushy Tail Tribe sign on the front). Go through these gates and follow the path down to the car park. There will be members of staff on hand to assist with directions to the car park. \nPlease book one space per sibling. Parents and families are welcome to stay on-site\, but there is minimal indoor space. \nPacking List: \n\nWaterproof boots/wellies/trainers (if not due to rain)\nLong-sleeve lightweight top – in hot weather\, we allow the children to wear a t-shirt\nThin trousers (pyjama bottoms are great – this is to protect them from stinging nettles and tick bites).\nSun hat\n\nIn bag: \n\nLightweight waterproof jacket\nThin waterproof trousers\nSun cream on before coming and have a bottle in your child’s bag\nWater bottle\nChange of clothes\nSnack\nPacked lunch\n\nThere will be time at the end of the session for the children to have their lunch and play.

We may not be able to supply your desired number of tickets if you do not book the correct number of tickets on Eventbrite. \nYour Eventbrite confirmation email is NOT your ticket. DESCRIPTION:Join us for an Under The Sea Sensory Theatre Experience\, delivered by students from Guildford School of Acting.\nUnder The Sea is a live\, sensory theatre experience\, designed and delivered by BA (Hons) Applied and Contemporary Theatre students from The Guildford School of Acting. \nJoin Melody the Mermaid as she and her marine puppet pals adventure through Wallows Cove. Melody lost her sea treasures during a strong wave of currents\, and she needs your help to find them! Melody loves to sing and explore the world around her. The sensory experience uses light\, sound\, music\, singing and sensory objects to deliver the story. \nThe performance is recommended for children aged 5+. Siblings are encouraged to come along! The show will last approximately 40 minutes. \nThe story will be performed by students from The Guildford School of Acting\, all of whom have a relevant DBS. Shooting Star staff will be supporting. \nThis session will be held in the Music Studio at Christopher’s. Parents are encouraged to stay and support the experience for their child. Please arrive at 13.45 for a 14.00 start. \nPlease book one ticket per person attending.

DESCRIPTION:This is a joint social for our bereaved and supported siblings aged 5+ to come together for an evening of lights and marshmallow toasting!\n\n\n\nBook a space for your child at our upcoming siblings event for both bereaved and supported siblings. This is a great opportunity for siblings to come together and make new friends! Please note\, this event is for siblings over the age of 5. \n  \nWe will be exploring the Wisley Glow event\, wandering through the magical trails and watching the light shows. This will be followed by marshmallow toasting and grabbing a bite to eat(all included). \n  \nThere will be ample Shooting Star staff and volunteers\, so your child is well supervised and will ensure they get the most out of this experience. \n  \nThe event will be held outside\, so please wear warm layers – Christmas jumpers\, hairbands or lights are encouraged (but completely optional)! \n  \nPlease ensure you drop off your child to a member of staff\, don’t drop off in the car park\, as we will need to see an adult and check waivers\, consent forms and contact numbers when you drop off. Drop off at 4pm. \n  \nPlease arrive at 7pm to collect – look out for the Shooting Star staff wearing the branded clothing when you get there.

DESCRIPTION:Come and see Santa’s reindeer at a farm in Churt\, Surrey!\nSanta’s reindeer are gearing up for their annual ‘fly-in’ before they head to the North Pole for Christmas! 🎅🦌 \nGet ready to experience the magic of Christmas with Santa’s special helpers on Friday 19th December 2025 at 12.30pm. Meet Santa’s reindeer up close\, take photos\, and enjoy some festive treats! \nThis event is wheelchair friendly\, but a little off roading is required. Please note this is an outside event\, so make sure to wrap up warm. There is parking onsite\, if you can car share then we would recommend that you do. \nFurther instructions \nThe postcode is GU10 2HL. You will see a small island with a tree planted in the middle – just in front of the black metal gates. When you arrive at the magical Silverbeck\, you will see black ornate gates and a buzzer. Be sure to press the buzzer for Silverbeck (not the farm). Wiggle your way down the driveway and keep going towards the barn. \nWe have families arriving after your slot as well! There is no ramp into the barn\, a slight step up\, so it might be a wiggle and a jiggle to get wheelchair users in\, but it’s possible! We also recommend wellies and coats are worn. \nPlease save slots for the children\, so if you can manage with one adult ticket and the rest children in your group that would be wonderful – thank you! \nDon’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to create lasting memories with your loved ones. DESCRIPTION:Come and see Santa’s reindeer at a farm in Churt\, Surrey!\nSanta’s reindeer are gearing up for their annual ‘fly-in’ before they head to the North Pole for Christmas! 🎅🦌 \nGet ready to experience the magic of Christmas with Santa’s special helpers on Friday 19th December 2025 at 11.45am. Meet Santa’s reindeer up close\, take photos\, and enjoy some festive treats! \nThis event is wheelchair friendly\, but a little off roading is required. Please note this is an outside event\, so make sure to wrap up warm. There is parking onsite\, if you can car share then we would recommend that you do. \nFurther instructions \nThe postcode is GU10 2HL. You will see a small island with a tree planted in the middle – just in front of the black metal gates. When you arrive at the magical Silverbeck\, you will see black ornate gates and a buzzer. Be sure to press the buzzer for Silverbeck (not the farm). Wiggle your way down the driveway and keep going towards the barn. \nWe have families arriving after your slot as well! There is no ramp into the barn\, a slight step up\, so it might be a wiggle and a jiggle to get wheelchair users in\, but it’s possible! We also recommend wellies and coats are worn. \nPlease save slots for the children\, so if you can manage with one adult ticket and the rest children in your group that would be wonderful – thank you! \nDon’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to create lasting memories with your loved ones. DESCRIPTION:Siblings’ holiday club is set to be a brilliant\, fun-packed day. With so many fun activities planned (5+\, including teens) at Shooting Star House. Groups will rotate through 4 different activities throughout the day\, including a fun-filled colour run\, with each group being adapted to ensure it is age-appropriate and fun for all. \nPlease drop off between 9.30-10am so we can start the day promptly. Pick up is at 3.30pm. \nOur siblings’ club helps children find comfort in being with other siblings and a chance to make some new friends or meet up with ones they have met before. \nAmongst several activities\, we will roll our jumper sleeves up and get our craft on and have lots of fun team-building games. \nActivities are supported by our Family Support team to ensure there is a familiar face to welcome them. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about the activities throughout the day. \nKit list: \n\nWaterproof coat\nWater bottle\nPacked lunch/last night’s dinner in a tupperware (NO NUTS or KIWI PLEASE)\nAny medicines in a named bag and handed to staff on arrival\n\nWe try to encourage children to be independent and say goodbye in reception. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our upcoming siblings day for both bereaved and supported siblings. This is a great opportunity for siblings to come together and make new friends!\nWe will have an hour of free jumping\, which will include use of the trampoline area\, giant airbag\, ninja course\, activity pit\, reaction walls\, giant slide and dodgeball court. This will be followed by 45 minutes in the party room\, with pizza\, chips and squash (all included). \nSpecial socks will be provided that we must wear at all times when on the equipment. Please ensure you drop off your child to a member of staff\, don’t drop off in the car park\, as we will need to see an adult and check waivers\, consent forms and contact numbers when you drop off. \nPlease drop off at 11am\, as the session will start at 11.30am. For pick up\, please arrive at 1.15pm – look out for the Shooting Star staff wearing the branded clothing when you get there. \nPlease note\, this event is for siblings over the age of 5+.

SUMMARY:Mega Mondays
DESCRIPTION:This summer holidays we would like to welcome all families to come and use the facilities at Shooting Star House. \nUse the soft play\, art room\, Lifelites sensory equipment and enjoy a craft or two. Bring a packed lunch and have a picnic before you go. \nPlease note your family must be supervised at all times in the building and we ask that no nut or Kiwi products are brought into the Hospice \nNo need to RSVP\, just drop in and fill a morning with us! \n10-12.30pm Every Monday in the Summer holidays except Monday 11th & Monday 25th August.
