DESCRIPTION:Siblings’ Day is designed to help with the plethora of feelings and potential challenges that exist in bereavement. \nWe include fun\, creative and physical activities to help reach and explore all sorts of feelings. The days take place in the school holidays at Shooting Star House\, with trips to specifically selected locations\, such as the beach. \nBereaved siblings from both hospices are invited to attend for three years after their brother or sister has died. \nPlease be aware that this event date is provisional and will be confirmed in the event invitation.

DESCRIPTION:Sensory Days are specifically for children and young people with profound and multiple learning difficulties between the ages of 5 and 21\, and their families. \nSensory days generally run in the school holidays and are a chance for the whole family to be involved in a fun session and have the opportunity to explore and experience appropriate sensory activities together. \nSensory Days are usually divided into two sessions: a morning session for children between 5 and 10 years and an afternoon session for children 11 years and older. \nEach session is a fun and interactive time using a mix of sensory and craft activities around a theme for the day such as ‘The Seaside’ or ‘Fun at the Fair’ with a break for refreshments. \nThe days gives families the opportunity to meet others in a similar situation and experience new skills using sensory activities that they can use at home. \nPlease be aware that all event dates are provisional and will be confirmed in the event invitation.
