SUMMARY:Siblings Day holiday 'spy' club
DESCRIPTION:Siblings holiday club is set to be a spy-tastic day\, with so many fun activites planned (5+\, including teens) at Shooting Star House. They will rotate through 4 different activities throughout the day. Escape room\, swimming\, time capsule making\, and spy games. Each group will be adapted to ensure it’s age-appropriate and fun for all! \nPlease drop off between 9.30am and 10am so we can start the day promptly. Pick up is at 3.30pm. \nOur siblings’ club help children find comfort in being with other siblings and a chance to make some new friends or meet up with ones they have met before. \nAmongst several activities\, we will roll our jumper sleeves up\, and get our craft on\, and have lots of fun team-building games. \nActivities are supported by our Family Support team to ensure there is a familiar face to welcome them. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about the activities throughout the day. \nKit list: \n\nSwimmers and a towel\nWaterproof coat\nWater bottle\nPacked lunch/last night’s dinner in a Tupperware (NO NUTS or KIWI PLEASE)\nAny medicines in a named bag and handed to staff on arrival\n\n\nWe try to encourage children to be independent and say goodbye in reception. Please let us know if you think your child might struggle and we can make sure a friendly face is there to greet them.

DESCRIPTION:Book a space for your child on our upcoming siblings day for both bereaved and supported siblings. This a great opportunity for siblings to come together and make new friends! Please note\, this event is for siblings over the age of 5. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe will have an hour of free jumping\, which will include use of the trampoline area\, giant airbag\, ninja course\, activity pit\, reaction walls\, giant slide\, and dodgeball court. This will be followed by 45 minutes in the party room\, with pizza\, chips\, and squash (all included). \n  \nThere will be ample Shooting Star staff and volunteers\, so your child is well supervised and will ensure they get the most out of their session. \n  \nSpecial socks will be provided that we must wear at all times when on the equipment. Please ensure you drop off your child to a member of staff\, don’t drop off in the car park as we will need to see an adult and check waivers\, consent forms\, and contact numbers when you drop off. \n  \nPlease drop off at 11am and the session will start at 11.30am. \n  \nPlease arrive at 1.15pm to collect – look out for the Shooting Star staff wearing the branded clothing when you get there.

Meet Santa’s reindeer up close\, take photos\, and enjoy fun games and festive treats! \nThis event is wheelchair friendly\, but a little off roading is required. Please note this is an outside event\, so make sure to wrap up warm. There is parking onsite\, if you can car share then we would recommend that you do. \nFurther instructions \nThe postcode is GU10 2HL. You will see a small island with a tree planted in the middle – just in front of the black metal gates. When you arrive at the magical Silverbeck\, you will see black ornate gates and a buzzer. Be sure to press the buzzer for Silverbeck (not the farm). Wiggle your way down the driveway and keep going towards the barn. \nWe have families arriving after your hour slot as well! There is no ramp into the barn\, a slight step up\, so it might be a wiggle and a jiggle to get wheelchair users in\, but it’s possible! There are ramps to ensure that all of our families can reach the ice rink. \nAfterwards\, there is an opportunity to warm up with a cup of hot chocolate and some nibbles. DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year again where we would like to borrow the Siblings (5+\, including teens!) of children who are currently receiving our support for the day at Shooting Star House! \nPlease drop off between 9.30am and 10am so we can start the day promptly. Pick up is at 3.30pm. \nOur siblings’ days help children find comfort in being with other siblings and a chance to make some new friends or meet up with ones they have met before. \nAmongst several activities\, we will roll our jumper sleeves up\, and\, get our craft on\, and have lots of fun team-building games. \nActivities are supported by our Family Support team and Therapists to ensure we give siblings the emotional support they need. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about the activities throughout the day. \nKit list \n\nSwimmers and a towel\nWaterproof coat\nWater bottle\nPacked lunch/last night’s dinner in a Tupperware. (NO NUTS or KIWI PLEASE)\nAny medicines in a named bag and handed to staff on arrival\n\nWe try to encourage children to be independent and say goodbye in reception. DESCRIPTION:After the popularity of our last Ninja Warrior siblings event\, we wanted to go back for more! \nBook a space for your child on the fantastic sibling’s day (bereaved and supported). Spaces fill up quickly so make sure you don’t delay in RSVP’ing! Please note this is for 5 plus. This a great opportunity for siblings to come together and make new friends. If you are unsure if this event is for you\, please contact the hospice and we can chat this through with you. \nPlease bring a packed lunch and water bottle. Please don’t rely on the cafe\, as we won’t be in the main cafe area – we have our own dining area. Please no nuts. \nThere will be ample Shooting Star staff and volunteers\, so your child is well supervised and to ensure they get the most out of their session. \nSpecial socks will be provided\, that we must wear at all times when on the equipment. Please keep an eye on your emails if we are required to ask for a consent form. Please ensure you drop off your child to a member of staff\, please don’t drop off in the car park. We need to see an adult and check consent forms and contact numbers when you drop-off. \nPlease drop off at 10am and the session will start at 10.30am. We have an hour’s session and then have a room booked to eat our packed lunch in. \nPlease arrive at 12.30pm to collect – look out for the Shooting Star staff wearing the branded clothing when you get there.

DESCRIPTION:A therapeutic day for siblings of our supported children.\n\n\nIt’s that time of year again where we would like to borrow the Siblings (5+\, including teens!) of children who are currently receiving our support for the day at Shooting Star House! \nPlease drop off between 9.30am and 10am so we can start the day promptly. Pick up is at 3.30pm. \nOur siblings’ days help children find comfort in being with other siblings and a chance to make some new friends or meet up with ones they have met before. This half term’s theme is self-expression in the real world and virtual worlds. \nAmongst several therapeutic activities\, we will use fun gaming and music technology to TECH-spress ourselves as well as coming back to the “real” world for some pool games in the hydrotherapy pool and a fun movement workshop! Our music therapist will teach us how to make our own music using some exciting “garage band” software and we will be visited by Gamerheads the traveling game company to play the latest games and explore some new technology. Please note all games will be age appropriate and supervised at all time. Our day will start by exploring some ways in which we can stay safe when exploring the virtual word. \nActivities are supported by our team of therapists to ensure we give siblings the emotional support they need. Please dont hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about the therapeutic activites throughout the day. \nKit list \n\nswimmers and a towel\nwaterproof coat\nwater bottle\npacked lunch/last night’s dinner in a Tupperware..(NO NUTS or KIWI PLEASE)\nany medicines in a named bag and handed to staff on arrival\n\nWe try to encourage children to be independent and say goodbye in reception. Please let us know if you think your child might struggle and we can make sure a friendly face is there to greet them. \n*Please note that this event is not for bereaved siblings\, please see our separate event tailored specifically to bereaved siblings.
