DESCRIPTION:Come along to The Cardiff Arms Park Male Choir Concert\, in aid of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. \nTo purchase tickets\, please email Philip Barralet \nAbout the Choir\nThe Choir was formed on 1 September 1966\, following Cardiff RFC’s 35-0 defeat of Cardiff & District. The choir changed its name in 2000 to become the Cardiff Arms Park Male Choir\, helping to raise the profile of the choir and perpetuate the name of the Arms Park. \n\nThe choir has  appeared on television on numerous occasions\, including appearances on BBC\, Sky Sports\, ITV\, Channel 4\, New Zealand and Australian TV and MUTV. The choir sang live on Grandstand in 2002 and recorded an advertisement for the BBC‘s Six Nations rugby coverage alongside Goldie Lookin Chain in 2006. The choir were also filmed for an in-flight advertisement for Qantas airlines. They appeared on the Rogue Trader section of Watchdog\, made a very brief appearance on Strictly Come Dancing and supported Ant & Dec in a link for Britain’s Got Talent. The choir has also performed alongside numerous stars\, including Hayley Westenra\, Charlotte Church\, Max Boyce\, Peter Karrie\, Shân Cothi\, Goldie Lookin Chain and Foreigner.

Christopher’s is a very uplifting place and whilst we do share some sad times with families\, a lot of the work we do is providing some very special memories for the families we support. We are there to make every moment count\, and by visiting\, you can find out more about why our work matters so much to our local community. \nHow long does it take?\nOur hospice open days include a tour of the hospice\, which will take around one hour. This will be followed by some refreshments and the chance to speak to more of our team. \nEach tour will consist of up to eight people. \nParking\nThere’s limited parking available at our hospice. If this is full up then ample parking is available at the Artington Park and Ride car park\, just next door to us. \nWe look forward to welcoming you to our Open Day.

SUMMARY:Rotary Club of Twickenham Swimathon 2019
DESCRIPTION:The Swimathon is organised by The Rotary Club of Twickenham who provide the venue and deal with the organisation of the event. The purpose of the Rotary Swimathon is to raise money for local charities like Shooting Star Children’s Hospices\, and for other charities supported by Rotary International. \nTeam entries are free. Teams can be any size from one individual and up to six members. Charities\, schools or other organisations can enter as many teams as they wish. Each swimmer must get sponsorship for their team. The aim is for teams to swim as many lengths as possible in 55 minutes. You do not need to be an expert swimmer. Experienced swimmers or beginners who can swim a length unaided can take part\, as can children (with parental permission). You only need to be prepared to give up an hour of your time and get your friends to sponsor you and your team. \n70% of the sponsorship money raised by each team goes to the team’s nominated charity. The balance 0f 30% will go to charities identified by The Rotary Club of Twickenham (A list of charities supported each year is displayed on the club’s website). \nOnline sponsorship is preferred and we will set up an account on your behalf on the Wonderful.org website which your sponsors can access. Alternatively if you prefer to collect cash sponsorship we will provide an appropriate sponsorship form. \nThank you to everyone who joined the 2018 Rotary Swimathon. SUMMARY:Richmond Hill Open Gardens
DESCRIPTION:14 beautiful gardens will be open to the public\, offering something of interest to everyone. Within walking distance of each other and close to Richmond Town Centre\, the gardens are all set on the slopes of picturesque Richmond Hill. Tea and homemade cakes at St Matthias Centre will complete a wonderful day out\, in aid of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices and The Holly Lodge Centre. It’s a great way to relax if you’ve just completed our Richmond Sunrise Walk on the same morning. \n\n\n\nTickets are available at each garden on the route and at the St Matthias Church Centre and will include a clearly labelled map to help find your way around. You can start at any garden and visit in any order. Under 16’s are free. Cash only please. Tickets are available in advance for £11 on Eventbrite until 24 hours before the event opens. If you buy your ticket online you will be emailed an e-ticket. Please print out the email and bring it with you. You will be able to exchange it for a printed ticket/map at any of the gardens. \n\n\n\n\n\nRichmond Hill Open Gardens tickets will be available on Eventbrite from Mid April until 24 hours before the event opens.
