SUMMARY:Sensory Day at Holly Lodge
DESCRIPTION:Sensory Days are specifically for children and young people with profound and multiple learning difficulties between the ages of 5 and 21\, and their families. \nSensory days run in the school holidays and are a chance for the whole family to be involved in a fun session and have the opportunity to explore and experience appropriate sensory activities together. \nSensory Days are usually divided into two sessions: a morning session for children between 5 and 10 years and an afternoon session for children 11 years and older. \nEach session is a fun and interactive time using a mix of sensory and craft activities around a theme for the day such as ‘The Seaside’ or ‘Fun at the Fair’ with a break for refreshments. \nThe days gives families the opportunity to meet others in a similar situation and experience new skills using sensory activities that they can use at home.

SUMMARY:Grandparents’ Day
DESCRIPTION:Grandparents Day takes place once a year at Christopher’s.  It is an informal relaxed day for grandparents of children and young people who are using the service. Grandparents Day offers an opportunity to learn about the hospice and meet other Grandparents and some of the staff who work there. Grandparents can try out activities they may wish to use at home with their grandchildren such as story massage and sensory activities. There is time for grandparents to think about looking after themselves. Lunch is provided as a time to chat and meet with each other. \nPlease be aware that all event dates are provisional and will be confirmed in the event invitation.

SUMMARY:Richmond Hill Open Gardens
DESCRIPTION:14 beautiful gardens will be open to the public\, offering something of interest to everyone. Within walking distance of each other and close to Richmond Town Centre\, the gardens are all set on the slopes of picturesque Richmond Hill. Tea and homemade cakes at St Matthias Centre will complete a wonderful day out\, in aid of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices and The Holly Lodge Centre. It’s a great way to relax if you’ve just completed our Richmond Sunrise Walk on the same morning. \n\n\n\nTickets are available at each garden on the route and at the St Matthias Church Centre and will include a clearly labelled map to help find your way around. You can start at any garden and visit in any order. Under 16’s are free. Cash only please. Tickets are available in advance for £11 on Eventbrite until 24 hours before the event opens. If you buy your ticket online you will be emailed an e-ticket. Please print out the email and bring it with you. You will be able to exchange it for a printed ticket/map at any of the gardens. \n\n\n\n\n\nRichmond Hill Open Gardens tickets will be available on Eventbrite from Mid April until 24 hours before the event opens.
