DESCRIPTION:Scouts is coming to Christopher’s!\nOfficial Scout Group – at Christopher’s for children and young people with a life-limiting condition aged 6+. \nWe would love to invite a small group of young people who are aged 6+ to embark on their Scouting journey. Scouting is an all-inclusive youth group that welcomes young people of all abilities. Our Scout Group is affiliated with the 9th Guildford Scout Group. \nScouting is accessible to all and focuses on making reasonable adjustments to activities\, badges\, and awards to ensure everyone can participate and thrive. This includes working with parents and carers to understand individual needs and provide appropriate support. At Scouts\, we’re open to all. Our main priority is to make sure that everyone\, be that our young people or our volunteers\, feels welcome and comfortable to take part. \nParents/carers will need to stay with their young people for the session\, and drinks and biscuits will be provided. \nThe first group meeting will be information sharing and taking order details for your Scout uniform items (at no cost to families). We will then share the rest of the meeting dates with you\, term time only. We can’t wait to launch this special group with the families of Shooting Star.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for our upcoming siblings day for both bereaved and supported siblings. This is a great opportunity for siblings to come together and make new friends!\nWe will have an hour of free jumping\, which will include use of the trampoline area\, giant airbag\, ninja course\, activity pit\, reaction walls\, giant slide and dodgeball court. This will be followed by 45 minutes in the party room\, with pizza\, chips and squash (all included). \nSpecial socks will be provided that we must wear at all times when on the equipment. Please ensure you drop off your child to a member of staff\, don’t drop off in the car park\, as we will need to see an adult and check waivers\, consent forms and contact numbers when you drop off. \nPlease drop off at 11am\, as the session will start at 11.30am. For pick up\, please arrive at 1.15pm – look out for the Shooting Star staff wearing the branded clothing when you get there. \nPlease note\, this event is for siblings over the age of 5+.

DESCRIPTION:Siblings’ holiday club is set to be a brilliant\, fun-packed day. With so many fun activities planned (5+\, including teens) at Shooting Star House. Groups will rotate through 4 different activities throughout the day\, including a fun-filled colour run\, with each group being adapted to ensure it is age-appropriate and fun for all. \nPlease drop off between 9.30-10am so we can start the day promptly. Pick up is at 3.30pm. \nOur siblings’ club helps children find comfort in being with other siblings and a chance to make some new friends or meet up with ones they have met before. \nAmongst several activities\, we will roll our jumper sleeves up and get our craft on and have lots of fun team-building games. \nActivities are supported by our Family Support team to ensure there is a familiar face to welcome them. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about the activities throughout the day. \nKit list: \n\nWaterproof coat\nWater bottle\nPacked lunch/last night’s dinner in a tupperware (NO NUTS or KIWI PLEASE)\nAny medicines in a named bag and handed to staff on arrival\n\nWe try to encourage children to be independent and say goodbye in reception. Please let us know if you think your child might struggle\, and we can make sure a friendly face is there to greet them. \n\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION:We invite your teen to join us for a day in London\, enjoying both the London Dungeons and the London Eye!  \nNot only will this event be spook-tacular\, but a great chance for teen siblings to make new friends. We will meet at Woking Train Station at 8.30am or outside the London Dungeons at a later time\, spend the day enjoying Merlin attractions around London and aim to return at 5pm. DESCRIPTION:Join for an information sharing session on what can be expected for young people over the age of 14 as they enter transition to adulthood and adult social care.\nJoin us for a Transition Q&A session on Teams. \nAnna\, our social worker for transition\, will explain the changes in law from children to adult care\, the Mental Capacity Act\, Continuing Care and Social Care. Most importantly\, we will tell you about the resources and services available to support you. \nPlease come along to listen or ask questions. DESCRIPTION:Official Scout Group – at Christopher’s for children and young people with a life-limiting condition aged 6+. \nWe would love to invite a small group of young people who are aged 6+ to embark on their Scouting journey. Scouting is an all-inclusive youth group that welcomes young people of all abilities. Our Scout Group is affiliated with the 9th Guildford Scout Group. \nScouting is accessible to all and focuses on making reasonable adjustments to activities\, badges\, and awards to ensure everyone can participate and thrive. This includes working with parents and carers to understand individual needs and provide appropriate support. At Scouts\, we’re open to all. Our main priority is to make sure that everyone\, be that our young people or our volunteers\, feels welcome and comfortable to take part. \nParents/carers will need to stay with their young people for the session\, and drinks and biscuits will be provided. Please wrap up warm\, as we would like to get outside and do some activities (weather permitting).
