DESCRIPTION:Join us for our upcoming siblings day for both bereaved and supported siblings. This is a great opportunity for siblings to come together and make new friends!\nWe will have an hour of free jumping\, which will include use of the trampoline area\, giant airbag\, ninja course\, activity pit\, reaction walls\, giant slide and dodgeball court. This will be followed by 45 minutes in the party room\, with pizza\, chips and squash (all included). \nSpecial socks will be provided that we must wear at all times when on the equipment. Please ensure you drop off your child to a member of staff\, don’t drop off in the car park\, as we will need to see an adult and check waivers\, consent forms and contact numbers when you drop off. \nPlease drop off at 11am\, as the session will start at 11.30am. For pick up\, please arrive at 1.15pm – look out for the Shooting Star staff wearing the branded clothing when you get there. \nPlease note\, this event is for siblings over the age of 5+.

Please note\, whilst we will try and ensure you receive your first choice of treatment\, this may not be possible\, so we require that you would be happy with either treatment. \nAdditionally\, treatments cannot be given if you are in your first trimester of pregnancy. \nUpon arrival\, treat yourself to a glass of bubbles or a fresh orange juice and a pastry\, while connecting with other mums. After crafting bath bombs\, body scrubs\, foot lotion and lavender bags\, you can enjoy a lunch of sandwiches\, crisps\, fruit and sweet treats. \nWear comfortable clothing as you will be invited to join a relaxation session\, designed to promote peace and calm. \nThis event offers a unique opportunity for you to recharge\, feel pampered and form supportive relationships with other mums. \nWe understand that schedules can change\, and it may be necessary to cancel\, so please let us know in advance to allow us to fill your place with another deserving mum. \nAt our Pamper Day\, we believe that everyone needs a little time for themselves\, and we can’t wait to create an atmosphere of relaxation\, support and wellbeing. \nPlease do not sign up for this event if you are already having complimentary therapy with the team at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. We would also ask that if you have attended a Pamper Day in the last 12 months\, you leave these spaces for other mums who have not yet been. DESCRIPTION:Siblings’ holiday club is set to be a brilliant\, fun-packed day. With so many fun activities planned (5+\, including teens) at Shooting Star House. Groups will rotate through 4 different activities throughout the day\, including a fun-filled colour run\, with each group being adapted to ensure it is age-appropriate and fun for all. \nPlease drop off between 9.30-10am so we can start the day promptly. Pick up is at 3.30pm. \nOur siblings’ club helps children find comfort in being with other siblings and a chance to make some new friends or meet up with ones they have met before. \nAmongst several activities\, we will roll our jumper sleeves up and get our craft on and have lots of fun team-building games. \nActivities are supported by our Family Support team to ensure there is a familiar face to welcome them. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about the activities throughout the day. \nKit list: \n\nWaterproof coat\nWater bottle\nPacked lunch/last night’s dinner in a tupperware (NO NUTS or KIWI PLEASE)\nAny medicines in a named bag and handed to staff on arrival\n\nWe try to encourage children to be independent and say goodbye in reception. Please let us know if you think your child might struggle\, and we can make sure a friendly face is there to greet them. \n\n\n\n

Our Scout Group is affiliated with the 9th Guildford Scout Group. \nScouting is accessible to all and focuses on making reasonable adjustments to activities\, badges\, and awards to ensure everyone can participate and thrive. This includes working with parents and carers to understand individual needs and provide appropriate support. At Scouts\, we’re open to all. Our main priority is to make sure that everyone\, be that our young people or our volunteers\, feels welcome and comfortable to take part. \nParents/carers will need to stay with their young people for the session\, and drinks and biscuits will be provided. Please wrap up warm\, as we would like to get outside and do some activities (weather permitting).

DESCRIPTION:Please join us in celebrating and remembering the lives of your loved ones at our Light up a Star service. This remembrance service will include poems\, music and a moment of reflection as we all come together to light lanterns in memory of a loved one. The service will be followed by light refreshments\, a Christmas stall and a chance to talk and connect with each other. \nTickets are £5 (free for 12 and under) and include a Remembrance Lantern. Your Remembrance Lantern will be posted to you ahead of the event. We would encourage you to decorate your lantern in memory of your loved one and bring it with you to the service. \nIf you are unable to join us on the day the event will also be livestreamed on the All Saints Church Hampton YouTube page\, and will be available to watch later. Additionally\, if you would like to light a lantern at home instead of attending then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us via supportercare@shootingstar.org.uk. \nThis year\, we are delighted to say that you can pre-order some Christmas knitted novelties ahead of the service. You will find this option on the booking page. There will also be an opportunity to purchase Christmas cards and knitted novelties at the end of the service. The knitted novelties have been generously made for us by supporters and all proceeds will go towards Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. \nAs you may already know\, it costs £12 million a year to run Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. Just 29% of our funding comes from the government\, so we rely on our supporters’ generosity to keep our vital care service running. If you would like to make a donation\, we will have collection cans and card machines available on the night. We understand that this may not be feasible for all and encourage you to donate what you are comfortable giving. If you would like your donation to be added as a contribution to an existing tribute fund\, please mention your loved one’s name when booking. \nThank you for all your continued support and for making such a difference to the work that we do. \nPlease note that the venue is in the ULEZ zone. We do hope you can join us for London’s most festive and most iconic Santa Run. \nStarting at 7.00 pm in Paternoster Square\, run the 4.0km festive fun run. \nYour route will start by going past St Paul’s Cathedral and then across the Millennium Bridge\, where you will enjoy world-famous views of Tower Bridge\, The Shard of London\, and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. \nYou will then go over Southwark Bridge and join the Thames Path\, where you will head towards the Tower of London and Tower Bridge via some of London’s most unknown hidden paths. \nYou will then return through the City\, back over Southwark Bridge to the lively Bankside area\, on the south side of the River Thames. \nAfter another 500m\, you will cross the Millennium Bridge again and once again take in the views of St Paul’s Cathedral as you head towards the finish line in Paternoster Square\, completing a truly iconic route! \nYou thought it couldn’t get better! Once again\, this is a truly iconic route! No previous experience is needed for a 4k like this. The route is relatively flat and you can either run\, jog or walk. Bring all the family along.
