D&G Group has been a corporate partner of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices since 2007. Over the years they have supported with a wide range of events and challenges including; an Ashes Cricket Dinner, a Test Match Ball, the Nuts Challenge, London Marathon and many more.
The Comeback Ball
Shooting Star Children’s Hospices were once again delighted to be the beneficiary charity of D&G Group’s 2021 annual fundraiser, aptly name the D&G Comeback Ball. As experts in delivering corporate events and fundraising experiences they blew the COVID cobwebs away and over 650 guests were welcomed with a champagne reception (complete with Aperol Bar), live entertainment, 3 course dinner, Hendricks Gin Bar and dancing until the early hours.
Guests were treated to an entertaining Q&A with sports legends Sir Andrew Strauss, Chris Robshaw, Susannah Townsend and the host himself David Nash.
Trustee and supported Dad Simon Barker then took to the stage to share his personal experiences of the hospice and set the tone for a lucrative auction led by the renowned Johnny Gould who toiled his way through 13 lots in the Main Auction including the ultimate F1 Experience at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, a Tuscan Villa for a week and a full hospitality package at Club Wembley.
The event raised an incredible total of £100,000… a Comeback Ball indeed!
