Shooting Star Children’s Hospices and Fuller’s

Shooting Star Children’s Hospices are delighted to continue their partnership with Fuller’s, which has now been going strong since 2012. The support received from Fuller’s is extensive and includes fundraising at a local level from the many managed pubs with staff taking part in a plethora of activities from skydives to ice bath challenges and family fun days to Halloween quiz nights. In addition to the fundraising taken on by the staff, Shooting Star Children’s Hospices receives donations from their children’s menu and Ale & Pie menu.

Thank you events

Fuller’s have also supported Shooting Star Children’s Hospices by hosting our annual thank you events at the Griffin Brewery in Chiswick. The support at these events includes brewery tours, beer tasting and canapés specially created for the event by Paul Dickinson, Head of Food at Fuller’s and his team.

Fuller’s Staff

The staff at Fuller’s, continue to push themselves to achieve bigger challenges and raise more money for Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. A recent challenge saw a team of 38 staff cycle 100 miles from the Fuller’s Brewery in Chiswick, to The Fox & Hounds, in the picturesque New Forest. The gruelling challenge started at 7am with the final cyclist reaching the finish line at 7.30pm. Fundraising, for this challenge alone, currently stands at £20,000.

A message from Fuller’s Chief Executive

“The work that Shooting Star Children’s Hospices does is incredible. It is very humbling and a privilege to be able to work with them and help in any way we can. This Cycle Challenge was no mean feat, none of us are experienced cyclists, but we were all determined, excited and impelled to reach the finish line in good time to enjoy a well-deserved pint and raise a huge amount for this fantastic charity.” Simon Emeny, Fuller’s Chief Executive
