We understand your time is limited with studying, essays and exams but there are so many ways that you can get involved. And helping us also helps you; we can offer you opportunities to gain great experience in a variety of areas, which all helps towards a fabulous CV.
Become a Shooting Star Children’s Hospices volunteer
We are always looking for young people to volunteer for us. You can do this in one of our retail shops, in our fundraising office or even at our events throughout the year. You could become one of our very own Ambassadors by spreading the word about Shooting Star Children’s Hospices whilst improving your public speaking at the same time. Fill out a volunteer application form today!
Fundraise for us
There are so many ways that you fundraise for Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.
- Why not organise a social for your Society or Sports Club in aid of the charity? We can supply t-shirts, collection cans and lots of our materials to help.
- Gather your friends, society members, class mates and everyone else on campus and take part in a raid. Once you’ve got the people, and an idea of location, pop us an email and I’ll supply the collection cans and legal stuff!
- Are you a member of your University’s RAG? We would love to partner with you and become your local Charity of the Year. For more information about how we can work together, give me a call on 01932 823121.
Have a clear out
When it comes to the end of summer term, it can be a huge task to pack up your room! We can help to lighten the load a little by organising a onegoodthing collection. Students just need to fill their collection bags with one item to donate to our retails stores, and we’ll come to campus to gather the items.
