A donation In Memory can be a special way to remember and celebrate the life of someone important to you. We know that these gifts have extra meaning and we are always very grateful to receive them.
By donating In Memory to Shooting Star Children’s Hospices you can remember a loved one, whilst knowing you are helping to support families through the toughest of times.
There are a few different ways to donate:
In Memory donation envelopes
If you are organising a funeral or memorial service for a loved one we can provide In Memory donation envelopes which can be personalised with the name of the person you are remembering. These can either be sent directly to you or we can arrange for them to be sent to a funeral director in advance. Contact us on 01932 823100 to request in memory envelopes.
You can set up tribute fund in the name of someone special to you – a simple yet positive way to celebrate their life and keep memories alive. It’s quick and easy to do and friends and family can contribute to it in any way they like. Some people choose to donate each year on a special birthday or anniversary with a single donation or even by setting up a direct debit. Others like to run marathons or organise community events like cake sales. Whatever you choose we will be here to support you and help you build your personalised tribute fund.
You can either donate online, by phone on 01932 823100 to donate by debit or credit card and make a gift aid declaration, or by cheque. Please make this payable to Shooting Star Children’s Hospices and send it to: Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, Bridge House, Addlestone Road, Addlestone, Surrey KT15 2UE. Please include your name and address and the details of the person you are remembering.
“I am so grateful for the opportunity to share our thoughts and emotions about our journey since our son died. The tribute site is a haven for expressing the pain focusing on the highs and lows.” – Rosie Barker, mum of Matthias
