Time: Half a day to a day per week (flexible), Mondays to Fridays

We have an exciting vacancy within our HR department.  As a Volunteer HR Administrator you will have exposure to the full generalist HR remit including assisting the HR department in administrative tasks such as:  recruitment & selection, training & development and new starter process

Duties and key responsibilities

Administration relating to the employment lifecycle, including:

Recruitment & Selection:

  • Place adverts on our website and other social media
  • Assist the HR Administrator with managing the recruitment inbox
  • Co-ordinate setting up interviews
  • Produce recruitment packs
  • Assist with keeping vacancy tracker maintained

Induction/ New starters:

  • Assist with drafting offer letters and contracts
  • Request references
  • Assist with creating new starter personnel files


  • Co-ordinate exit interviews and log relevant feedback

Records and Data Management

  • To record data e.g. starters, leavers, sickness absence


  • Support the HR Team in ad hoc projects and general administration
    Archiving files



Essential Skills and Experience

  • Strong administration skills
  • Exposure to HR environment
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
