“They held our hands through the unimaginable"

Shooting Star Children's Hospices supports children with life-limiting conditions, and their families. Whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months or years, we are here to help families make every moment count.

Donate

Whether a one off donation, or a monthly gift, any amount will make a difference to the children and families we support.

Fundraise

There are so many ways to raise money while making a positive difference. Run a marathon, climb a mountain…or bake a cake.

Volunteer

If you can spare a few hours a week, or the occasional weekend, you could help out at our hospice, shops or at one of our events.

Families we support

“They just knew; what to say, what to do, what we needed”

Karen and Scott were told their middle child wouldn’t live past his fifth birthday, but Jake would go on to live over a decade longer than predicted. His mum Karen spoke about the difference we made to their lives.

"The scaffolding to our lives, holding us up"

Shooting Star  have been part of Zoë, Britt and Adrian’s lives since she was just eight weeks old. Britt says that Shooting Star Children’s Hospices has been the place her family can find support.

“They held our hand through the unimaginable"

Despite arriving prematurely and needing immediate surgery, Louie, a happy and playful baby, had been discharged from hospital and was reaching the usual milestones, until he caught what seemed to be a common cold in the summer of 2021.
