I agree to the following:
• To aim for high standards of efficiency, reliability and commitment in my volunteering.
• To inform my nominated contact ASAP if I am not available to attend at a previously agreed time.
• To work in partnership with other volunteers, staff and supporters.
• To act responsibly, and within the law.
• To support, respect and adhere to volunteer organisational policies, guidelines and management decisions – including all aspects of equal opportunities, health and safety, safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, confidentiality, data protection and use of the Shooting Star Children’s Hospices brand.
• To uphold the name of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices at all times and protect their reputation in my actions and conduct.
• To comply with Shooting Star Children’s Hospices No Smoking policy throughout its buildings and other locations, as necessary
• Not attend any volunteering role under the influence of alcohol or non-medically prescribed drugs.
• Not use offensive or inappropriate language or behaviour.
• To wear the appropriate clothing considered necessary for my role.
• To ask for donations in an appropriate manner.
• To let my staff contact know if I have any issues, so that we can find a solution. Particularly in relation to health conditions, that may affect my volunteering.
• That copyright for any creative work in which I am involved during the course of my volunteering for Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, is assigned to the organisation, unless alternative details are agreed in writing
• Both parties understand and agree that this does not form a contract of employment and that the volunteer is neither an employee nor a paid worker.
