Foundations of paediatric palliative care is an introductory session to equip professionals with essential knowledge and skills to support children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families. Participants will explore core principles of paediatric palliative care, looking at holistic working, communication skills and interdisciplinary teamwork.
This will also include short teachings on advance care planning and symptom management.
This is suitable for professionals working with or who may come across children and young people with life-limiting conditions, including but not limited to Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Nursing Associates, Counsellors, Therapists and Social workers.
