How you can help
Ways to support us
Volunteer
Our dedicated volunteers each play an integral role in the running of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. We’re always looking for new people to join our team and just a few hours will make a huge difference.
Shop
Support us by shopping at one of our local stores, online, or through third party sites or in browser plug-ins. Or show your support with our range of branded items.
The Knit Before Christmas
Calling all knitters – there’s knit a moment to lose. We’re seeking keen knitters and crafty crocheters to create knits for us to sell to raise vital funds. We have a new selection of knitting and crochet patterns this year, including mini Santa’s sacks and bottle tops. Our knit and natter sessions will also be returning, giving you the chance to meet other knitters and learn more about the work of Shooting Star over a cup of tea and a biscuit or two.
Collection cans
Wondering if you can get one of our official collection tins at your event – yes you can! We’ll even collect and count it for you and provide you with a certificate to say thank you and show how much you raised.
Our fundraising in numbers
The amount it costs each year to run our services.
96p of every pound raised goes to caring and supporting families with a baby, child or young person with a life-limiting condition, or who have been bereaved.
The amount we need to raise from fundraising for every £1 we get from the government.
Other ways to give
However large or small, there are lots of ways you can choose to support Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, from celebrating your birthday with us to choosing to leave a gift in your will.
