Both our hospices, Christopher’s and Shooting Star House, hold special monthly clubs on a Saturday for supported children to come together and enjoy a variety of fun activities with their peers.
Christopher’s Saturday Club, Tweenies, got off to a skate start this year with a fun trip to Guildford Spectrum ice rink.
The ice rink was fully accessible to all, meaning those in wheelchairs and buggies were able to be whizzed around by our super care team and volunteers – much to the delight of the children.
Trips out are just one of the ways the Saturday Clubs give supported children a chance to spend some time together with their friends whilst having the opportunity to learn new skills in a fun and safe environment. Previous activities include movie mornings, learning how to play instruments and a special visit from a scientist to learn lots of exciting experiments.
We run regular groups and events for children with life-limiting conditions and their siblings of all ages. Find out more about the support we offer here.
