Bank Arts Therapists
Our Music, Art, Drama and Play therapists work with children and young people with life-limiting conditions, their siblings and bereaved siblings. Creative therapy sessions give children and young people space to explore their feelings and experiences in an accessible, safe and confidential way. This takes place in our dedicated therapy rooms at both our hospices.
Our therapy rooms
We have a generously equipped music therapy room at our Hampton Outreach and Therapy Centre, and a purpose-built music studio situated in our garden at our Guildford Hospice.
We have a dedicated art therapy room at our Hampton Outreach and Therapy Centre, and at our Guildford Hospice. Our art therapy spaces are only used for therapy sessions.
Play therapy spaces are available at both our sites, along with a huge range of toys donated by our amazing supporters.
Dramatherapy spaces at our hospices allow supported children and siblings to face their emotions through stories, unlocking their creativity. Both sites have a wide range of props and arts and craft materials to aid in this process
Our counsellors work primarily with parents, grandparents and young people, including families with life-limited children and bereaved families. Hourly sessions are confidential and can take place in our dedicated counselling rooms at our Hampton or Guildford locations. We are especially keen to recruit counsellors who speak an additional language, as we know how important it is for families to be able to talk about sensitive topics in their first language.

Since introducing EMDR therapy, we’ve had feedback from many of our families that they find it an incredibly valuable form of therapy that helps them to address symptoms of trauma. If you have experience in providing EMDR as a counsellor or a therapist, we’d love to hear from you. As part of the team you’ll have the same access to private spaces to conduct sessions and support from the wider team.
