Dr Sally Johnson
Sally is a Woking GP (with a special interest in paediatrics) with 30 years of clinical experience in the NHS. She has 13 years of Board experience working as a Chief Medical Officer in both the NHS and private sector. From 2009-2020 she cofounded and grew Greenbrook Healthcare, a leading NHS provider of GP practices, walk-in centres and urgent care centres. Following the sale of Greenbrook, Sally has leadership experience in healthtech, international telemedicine, digital healthcare and the UK Covid vaccination programme. She is a trustee with Sarcoma UK, where she uses her GP experience to help improve awareness of sarcoma, a rare cancer.
She has expertise in clinical governance, quality improvement and service turnaround. Alongside her NHS clinical work, Sally has a number of roles including: Medical Examiner at St Peter’s Hospital NHS trust, health tech advisor to start-ups and a consultant in clinical governance and patient safety.
Sally lives in Guildford with her husband, Andy, they have three adult children. Outside work she enjoys running, cycling, beach walks and socialising with friends and family.
Sally is passionate about the delivery of high-quality care and is delighted to be working with Shooting Star Children’s Hospices to ensure the highest standards for their children and families.
