George’s Dragons fantastic year of fundraising in aid of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices began on St George’s Day 2019, with their latest fundraiser inviting walkers to join them on 15th March for a Family Fun Walk in Painshill Park.
A round of golf can be a leisurely way to spend an afternoon; however pro golfer Luke Willett will be par from relaxed as he takes on a unique golfing challenge in aid of local children’s hospice charity Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.
Six-year-old Alex and his younger sister Maisie, who’s three (soon to be four!) are taking on the Spartan Kids race in memory of their baby cousin Jack who died in May, aged just 26 days old.
We welcomed over 250 family members to Christopher’s for our Family Fun Day on Sunday 1 September. The annual event, held at our Guildford hospice is a chance for families to come together and enjoy a wealth of fun and entertainment with various stalls, special visitors and a delicious BBQ all in a safe and comfortable environment.
There is only a few days left until this year’s London Marathon, and our team of fabulous #ShootingStar runners are doing their last minute prep before the big day. One of our amazing runners, Anthony Davies, had some rather particular last minute preparations to do – so paid a visit to Christopher’s in need of some finishing touches to his intergalactic costume!
It was a day of smiles and sunshine at Christopher’s as supported children and their families welcomed lots of furry friends and enjoyed some fun activities and entertainment at our Easter Party.
The brightest event of the year returns! Now in its seventh year, the Sunrise Walk is your moment to shine. This June gather your friends and family together to help raise money to support babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.
International superstar and our wonderful Patron Dame Joan Collins brought some Christmas cheer to families supported by Shooting Star Chase by treating them to a Christmas Afternoon Tea at The Dorchester.
Over 300 supported family members came to Christopher’s for a fun day of celebration at the end of the summer. Held annually at our Guildford hospice, the event is a chance for families to come together and enjoy various stalls, meet wonderful visitors (from feathered friends to a real life mermaid!) and relax in a safe, comfortable environment.
As summer slowly comes to a close and the night’s draw in – fear not as we have the perfect ‘pick me up’ to pop in your diary this autumn! Get set for an evening of excellent live stand-up comedy, as the Shooting Star Chase comedy night makes a welcome return.
