Super corporate supporters Cloudshift held a virtual Comedy Evening on Thursday 24 June and raised an amazing £16,500 and counting for their local children’s hospice charity.
The event was part of the companies Pledge 1% initiative, with the huge amount raised thanks to the Salesforce Ecosystem team and the generous event sponsorship from Natterbox, Coveo, Conga, GoCardless, OwnBackup, Xactly Corp.
With 100% of the proceeds of ticket sales going to Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, guests were in for a real treat of hilarity beamed straight into their homes!
The entertainment was provided by top comedians Joel Dommett, Russell Kane and Suzi Ruffell, with brave members of the senior team putting themselves in the virtual front row and chatting directly with the trio of well-loved comedians.
The event took place during Children’s Hospice Week, which is the only week in the year dedicated to raising awareness and funds for children’s hospice and palliative care services across the UK.
Karen Sugarman MBE, Executive Vice-President and Alex Rennie, Corporate Relationship Manager at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices joined the evening to let guests know more about the charity and how much Cloudshift’s support means.
Alex Rennie said, “It was such an amazing and hilarious night! Given the past year we’ve all experienced, laughter is a real tonic and we are beyond grateful for the phenomenal support. This huge amount of money will make such a difference and allow us to continue to provide the vital care and support to families across Surrey and London who need us now and into the future.”
