Following the triumphant team of walkers who took on the Sunrise Walk Snowdon earlier this month, it was the turn of some of our super Corporate supporters to climb to the top of Mount Snowdon to raise money for their local children’s hospice charity.

The brave team of supporters had a tough 24 hours ahead of them, setting off on the six hour coach journey to Snowdonia National Park, where they got set to begin their ascent of one of the most iconic mountains in the UK at 3.30am in complete darkness!

Decked out in woolly hats and head torches the teams steadily made their way up the mountain and despite the cool temperatures and challenging terrain were full of good spirits – especially when they reached the summit – even though the classic British weather meant they didn’t get to see the sunrise.

Alex Rennie, Corporate Relationship Manager said, “Despite the lack of sleep everyone’s spirits were high and it was just brilliant seeing teams coming together to support each other. There was a fair amount of slipping, sliding and scrabbling to get to the summit but everyone made it which was a huge achievement.”

A huge thank you and even bigger congratulations to everyone who took part and so far have raised a phenomenal £17,271.50 and counting!

A special thanks to SVL Adventure for guiding everyone up and down safely and gogutsi for providing the minibus transport there and back.
