Cloudshift believes in creating a legacy and supporting non-profits in their community which is why they started supporting Shooting Star Children’s Hospices in 2018 and are a founding member of Pledge 1% in the UK.
Pledge 1% encourages and challenges individuals and companies to pledge 1% of equity, product, and employee time for their communities.
Since 2018 Cloudshift colleagues have entered lots of events to raise funds for Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. They’ve taken part in our Space Race, Spartan, Colour Run and will have two dedicated runners in the 2021 London Marathon. Cloudshift have also generously sponsored our 2021 London Marathon post race reception for our runners, as well as their nearest and dearest supporters.
The pandemic didn’t slow them down and they quickly swapped their fundraising to virtual events and delivered the most incredible virtual comedy nights, which have collectively raised over £17,500 and lots of laughs!
Entertainment was provided by top comedians Joel Dommett, Russell Kane and Suzi Ruffell, with brave members of the senior team putting themselves in the virtual front row and chatting directly with the trio of well-loved comedians.
Alex Rennie said, “It was such an amazing and hilarious night! Given the past year we’ve all experienced, laughter is a real tonic and we are beyond grateful for the phenomenal support. This huge amount of money will make such a difference and allow us to continue to provide the vital care and support to families across Surrey and London who need us now and into the future.”
