How you can help us

Volunteer at our hospices

Our hospices are a friendly, positive and colourful home away from home for the children, young people and their families. Running our hospices is a bit like running your own home – only on a much bigger scale. Our hospice volunteers help us keep everything running smoothly doing a wide variety of tasks such as helping on reception, housekeeping, helping in the kitchen or with general maintenance, gardening or driving our minibus.

Volunteer at our shops

Volunteers are vital in the running of our shops, with more than 250 volunteers working alongside our dedicated shop managers giving their time and expertise to keep our shops open. If you enjoy being part of a team and are passionate about customer service this could be the perfect role for you. Our volunteers help us keep everything running smoothly doing a wide variety of tasks such as making customers feel welcome, processing and pricing donations, steaming clothes and operating the till. We currently have 13 shops which in Middlesex, Surrey and South London. See the locations here.

Volunteer at our events

We know that it is not always possible to commit to volunteering on a regular basis, so volunteering at events is a great way to be able to help at a time that suits you.We have lots of events throughout the year that, without our volunteers, would not be possible. Events volunteers help with all sorts from running a stall at a summer fete and serving refreshments at an event to marshalling at sporting events and cheering on our participants at challenge events. You can always bring your friends and family along too, helping at events is a great fun way to spend time together, while supporting your local children’s hospice charity.
