Meeting other families
Shooting Star supports hundreds of families who have children living with life-limiting illnesses, and hundreds of families who are grieving the death of their child. We know that every family and every individual is unique, but we also know that hope, support and lifelong friendships have been created when Shooting Star families have had the chance to meet each other.

Parents forum
If you’d like to, we’d love to hear your voice at our forum. Four times a year we meet on zoom at 8pm, meaning that you can join from your sofa, with a cup of tea. We ask questions about your experience of our care and share ideas for the future. We have zoom sessions for supported families and zoom sessions for bereaved families.
Facebook groups
We have two closed Facebook groups, one for supported families and one for bereaved families. You can post questions to each other and share experiences if you’d like to. We do our best to add as many helpful posts as possible, telling you about events near you, freebies and specialist support you might be interested in.
Arranging meetings
Talk to us if you’d like to be put in touch with a specific Shooting Star parent or family. You can tell us what might be most helpful. We can also tell you about other charities who help with this too.
