Now in its 8th year, the excellent Access Self Storage team in Byfleet are channelling their inner elves and launching their Christmas Gift appeal for Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.

The team are collecting gifts for their local children’s hospice charity this Christmas as the 8th annual Access Self Storage Christmas charity appeal launches.

The Byfleet team are asking kind residents and businesses of Byfleet and Woking to drop off a present from a special wish list of presents that have been put together specially by our care team to ensure they are suitable for the children we care for. This includes sensory toys, craft materials, pyjamas, bedding sets, and dressing-up costumes, or nail and beauty items and vouchers for older teens.

Kirstie Barton, Community Fundraiser at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices said: “We are thrilled to be the beneficiaries of this year’s Access Self Storage’s Christmas Appeal. Shooting Star Children’s Hospices need to raise £10 million each and every year for families who find themselves in the most unimaginable circumstances and 90% of this is from public funding. With help from businesses like Access Self Storage and our community we can make every moment count for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. We are hugely thankful to initiatives like the Access Self Storage Christmas appeal which not only helps the children and families, we work with, but raises awareness of what we do in our community.”

Access Self Storage Byfleet Manager Finlay Bowie said: “We are delighted to be working with Shooting Star Children’s Hospices again this year and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who gets involved donating gifts to the children they look after. We look forward to greeting everyone popping in with donations!”

In the eight years that the campaign has been running, more than 18,500 gifts have been donated to help dozens of charities across the UK.

All gifts for Byfleet may be left at the reception of Access Self Storage on Oyster Lane any time until Friday 13th December, when they will be delivered to our hospices in time for Christmas.
