Supported children (and our care team!) had a great Panto-time at Christopher’s this festive season, as Christmas for Kids paid a visit for a very special performance – oh yes it was!

Our Guildford hospice was full of fun, silliness and laughter as the fabulous cast from Christmas for Kids performed their show which is specially written and designed to be multi-sensory, interactive, fun and accessible.

The show comprised of singing, storytelling and puppetry much to the delight of the children.

Often children with life-limiting conditions are unable to attend the theatre due to their complex needs and accessibility issues – so the charity Christmas for Kids devises and performs shows for free at children’s hospices – bringing the magic of theatre to them.

Barbie Hibberd, Activities Coordinator at Christopher’s said, “The Christmas for Kids offer us this Christmas opportunity every year, and they come and perform a Christmas Interactive story to the children and families. The story this year was Harry’s Christmas visit. The show is very inclusive for all and the actors involve the audience. The children are involved from start to finish within the performance of the story telling session, so much fun was had by all. Having this facility come to us is so useful to the families to come somewhere familiar and also very accessible – so a huge thanks to them all for spreading the Panto magic with us!”
