Despite 2020 creating many difficulties for us all, it certainly hasn’t dampened our super supporters’ spirit – and at this time of year they’re feeling festive with lots of amazing ways you can shop, entertain and challenge yourselves whilst supporting your local children’s hospice charity.
Every year Compton Village transform their phone box into a festive scene to support a different charity and we are delighted to be this year’s beneficiary. The phone box has been transformed into a wonderful nativity scene with the support of St Nicholas Church in Compton and you can support this fantastic creation by texting CRIB to 70085 to donate £10 to us.
Offering some festive cheer and a fabulous prize for the winner, Mayor and Mayoress, Cllr Colin Barnard and Mrs Barbara Barnard are holding a virtual Christmas quiz on Monday 14 December. All proceeds will go to the Mayor’s chosen charities including Shooting Star Children’s Hospices – if you’d like to take part simply email firstname.lastname@example.org
The fabulous fashion business Sellier Knightsbridge are offering a truly wonderful prize this December, in exchange for a small donation to Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. The awesome Aldershot Rotary Club are set to hold the tradition of their Christmas Float Collection with just a slight twist this year given the current restrictions. The Rotary Club, who have raised thousands for their chosen beneficiaries, including Shooting Star Children’s Hospices since 2004, will still be driving the much loved float around Aldershot, but are asking people to text to donate to raise money! Godalming Leisure Centre has a cracking idea to raise some money for their local children’s hospice charity. When you visit, simply pick up a Christmas cracker available in their reception, make a small donation and be in with the chance of winning some great prizes!
With Christmas shopping moving more online this year we have some wonderful supporters offering donations when you purchase their products.

Not sure what to get that special someone for Christmas this year? Richmond based illustrator, Nick is donating £5 for every print purchased on his Etsy using the code Shooting Star. With a wealth of different styles there is bound to be something that catches your eye.
Photographer Stacy is lending her skills to create unique magical Christmas cards. Simply take a photo of whoever you’d like to star in the card and send to her and she’ll add the magic to create a special Christmas card, with £5 donation of every purchase for Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.
