The Christmas season is different for all of us this year, but thanks to some wonderful supporters we’ve been able to enjoy some truly magical festivities at the hospice.

It seems like everyone has gone digital this year, including the main man – Father Christmas! Despite being very busy in his workshop, Father Christmas took time to Zoom direct from Lapland and say ho-ho-hello to some of the children who are staying with us for respite care.

The children got a chance to talk to Father Christmas and receive a special goodie bag of treats before settling down with the care team to watch a Christmas film in the cinema room.

There’s also been a sprinkling of Christmas magic in our hospice garden, thanks to Adrian and the team from Springfield Decorations and Display Ltd.

Transforming it into a winter wonderland, complete with a beautiful garland and two glowing polar bears – which were kindly donated to us by them.

And a little rain couldn’t dampen the excitement of a trip to Dixies Reindeers as some of our care team took two supported children to meet Father Christmas’ favourite animals – reindeers of course!

There was a chance to try out his super sleigh and ask the very important question ‘how do the reindeers fly?’… magic dust!

We are only able to create lasting magical memories like these because of the generosity and kindness of our super supporters. A huge thank you to each and everyone for continuing to help us make every moment count.
