Fabulous fundraisers 94 years apart!

July 19, 2022

Super supporters Jack and Joan have proven you’re never too young or old to fundraise, both deciding to support their local children’s hospice charity and fundraise for us.

This year, Joan turned a tremendous 101 years old, and rather than accepting birthday gifts she insisted on donations to her local children’s hospice charity instead. She received a raft of donations and has raised an incredible £665. A huge thank you and happy birthday Joan.

Our other superstar fundraiser is seven-year-old Jack who said, “Shooting Star Children’s Hospices cares for babies, children and young people who are sick. I would like to ride my bike and raise money for the charity to make them smile and happy,” and ride his bike he did!

Jack took on the challenge of cycling a 50km route this month, finishing at our charity shop in Shepperton to a rapturous reception! Jack has raised an amazing £1200 and counting – wheelie well done Jack!
