Vice President Tony Hadley performed for fellow Vice President Simon Cowell, Patrons of Shooting Star Chase and guests at a special reception at Buckingham Palace last month, in the presence of HRH The Countess of Wessex, our Royal Patron.
The Countess spent time meeting the charity’s Vice Presidents Simon Cowell and Tony Hadley, as well as Patrons including Dame Joan Collins, Lauren Silverman and Phillip Schofield.
The evening was held to highlight the charity’s vital work and to recognise the incredible support that is given to Shooting Star Chase, to help care for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families, across London and Surrey.
Chief Executive Nigel Harding welcomed and thanked guests, before introducing The Countess who said a few words about how important their support was. Executive Vice President Karen Sugarman then gave a speech before introducing a poignant and moving video.
The guests were then treated to a special performance from Vice President Tony Hadley and his band, who performed a special live set including True, Gold and songs from his new album.
Nigel Harding Chief Executive of Shooting Star Chase said, “It was such a special evening and we can’t thank HRH The Countess of Wessex and those at Buckingham Palace enough for hosting a truly wonderful event. It was a real honour to be able to welcome so many special people in such iconic and stunning surroundings; and to thank them for all their support in helping us continue to provide the vital care that’s so desperately needed for families facing the unimaginable.”
