International event, Euroabia, supported Shooting Star Chase this month during a supercar extravaganza.

Euroabia is a rally of supercars worth over 4million euros, which travel 400km over seven countries and are driven by members of the Bahrain-based Supercars Club Arabia (SCA). The rally started at Brooklands in Weybridge on Saturday 22 August, after a special opening ceremony the day before where Shooting Star Chase families were given a tour of the supercars on display by the drivers.

The supercars, which bore Shooting Star Chase’s logo throughout the rally, returned to Weybridge on Monday 31 August after 12 days of travelling across the world. A closing reception and fundraising auction was held to celebrate, which raised £7,000 for Shooting Star Chase.

Sylvia La Porte, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Shooting Star Chase, said: “One of our long term supporters, James Davis who owns Oxshott-based Clay hair salon, is on the committee for Euroabia and suggested Shooting Star Chase as a charity partner. It’s fantastic to be supported by such a brilliant event and one which created a stir in Surrey, as well as internationally. We’re grateful to James for getting the charity involved, and to Euroabia for their generosity.”
