Shooting Star Chase recently thanked corporate supporters, and celebrated their amazing fundraising and volunteering achievements in 2016, with a wine and canape reception in London.
The thank you event was hosted by Point A Hotels in Shoreditch, who provided the venue, canapes and waiting staff, and sponsored by Ellis Wine, who provided the drinks.
Staff from across the charity attended to show their appreciation for corporate partners old and new, and the CEO of Shooting Star Chase, David Burland, addressed the attendees, thanking them for their support and describing the impact their work has on children with life-limiting conditions, and their families.
Sylvia La Porte, Corporate Relationship Manager at Shooting Star Chase, organised the reception and said: “Our corporate partners are a lifeline for Shooting Star Chase, fundraising over £900,000 in 2016 and giving the charity hundreds of volunteering hours – and the event was just a small token of our gratitude for their amazing support.
“We aim to work with our corporate partners to develop a bespoke fundraising and volunteering plan to engage and inspire the whole company, and whether we provide creative ideas for raising money or arrange visits to our hospice so staff can see the difference they make – we are here to make the partnership as fun and valuable as possible.
“We’re excited to continue working with our brilliant corporate supporters in 2017, and building new relationships with other companies who are keen to support children with life-limiting conditions in London and Surrey.”
