The first week of June marks Volunteers’ Week, where those who give their time, dedication and expertise to organisations are celebrated for the amazing work they do. Our volunteers are simply invaluable to us, all playing a vital role in the running of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.
To commemorate this special week, we wanted to come together and say a huge thank you to each and every individual who support us in myriad ways, at the hospice, in our shops, at our events and remotely – all helping to raise funds and awareness. Thank you.
Melanie Hill, Head of Volunteer Development and Retail at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices said, “After a truly challenging time, we wanted to show our volunteers how much they are, and continue to be, appreciated for all they do for us. Despite some being unable to fulfil their usual roles over the past year or so, their continued support has been hugely felt by all of us at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.”
We are always looking for wonderful individuals to join our team, just a few hours can make all the difference.
