Push your Boss over the Edge
Your steps to success
Step 1
Step 2
Identify two or more bosses within your company whose personal development plans would be enhanced by being pushed off a building. We will support each boss with creating a JustGiving page highlighting all the reasons they do (or for some reason don’t) want to take part.
Step 3
Invite staff from your company to fundraise to support the vital work of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices by donating to the JustGiving page of the boss they feel most deserves the honour of representing your company in this event.
Step 4
Whoever has received the biggest vote of staff confidence (by raising the most or least money) gets pushed off a building. (Do not attempt to push your boss off a building outside of this time or location).
The time and place
When pushing your boss off a building, it is important to select one that offers a mix of height, spectacle and awareness. 122 Leadenhall Street, also known as the Leadenhall Building, and to most Londoners as the Cheesegrater due to its iconic shape, is the sixth tallest building in London, and it’s 225-metre-tall summit offers fantastic views of the capital combined with impressive boss-pushoffability potential. This event will take place on Friday 19 September – we suggest putting in a must-attend midday meeting about companywide metrics or similar to prevent any bosses accidentally deliberately trying to book the day off as holiday.
Who you will be helping
Shooting Star Children’s Hospices cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families, as well as bereaved families using our specialist bereavement service. We provide a range of medical, emotional and practical support to ensure that every family we care for has a chance to create precious memories. We also provide bereavement care to parents, siblings and grandparents for three years and three months after a child has died.
