“When I came here I thought I’d lose all of my IV skills but not the case. There are a lot of complex children that come here that require IV medications, TPN and I’ve actually learnt new skills such as giving subcutaneous medication via syringe drivers.”

What our nurses say
Eloise
Jess
“I started as a newly qualified nurse, now I have the skills and confidence to care for any child that comes into the hospice no matter how complex their care needs are.”
Alison
“As a Bank Nurse, I really enjoy the flexibility that you get. I tend to be able to get the shifts that I need, and I really feel like part of the team as well. It’s just a really lovely environment to work in.”
Anita
“One of the things I really enjoy is taking the time to get to know the families and getting to know the children. I’ve never had a chance to build relationships with people I give care to before, and I’m absolutely loving it.”
