Brenda has been instrumental in helping the charity raise vital funds. She represented Shooting Star at the ICAP Charity Trading Day in London, helping to secure £190,000 over two years. Brenda officially opened our Godalming shop and has spent time at both Christopher’s and Shooting Star House, meeting families. Brenda is a Golden Globe, BAFTA and Cannes Film Festival Award-Winner, as well as being nominated for the Emmy’s. Brenda played the iconic role of DCI Vera Stanhope in ITV’s award-winning series Vera, and has starred with many famous names, including Sir Michael Caine. Brenda is also a special guest on the charity’s new podcast launching in May 2026.
