Sensory Day at Christopher’s

  • 10:00 am - 3:30 pm
  • Christopher’s Children’s Hospice

Sensory Days are specifically for children and young people with profound and multiple learning difficulties between the ages of 5 and 21, and their families.

Sensory days generally run in the school holidays and are a chance for the whole family to be involved in a fun session and have the opportunity to explore and experience appropriate sensory activities together.

Sensory Days are usually divided into two sessions: a morning session for children between 5 and 10 years and an afternoon session for children 11 years and older.

Each session is a fun and interactive time using a mix of sensory and craft activities around a theme for the day such as ‘The Seaside’ or ‘Fun at the Fair’ with a break for refreshments.

The days gives families the opportunity to meet others in a similar situation and experience new skills using sensory activities that they can use at home.

Please be aware that all event dates are provisional and will be confirmed in the event invitation.
