Join us for a morning of networking, learning and discussion for professionals working with children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families.
This event will showcase the wide range of support available through Shooting Star Children’s Hospices and how families can access this support from an early stage of their journey. Many families can benefit from our services long before specialist nursing or medical care is needed and this session will help professionals better understand the support available and when a referral may be appropriate.
Attendees will learn how our multidisciplinary teams work together to support children, young people and families at home, in the community and within our hospices.
During the morning, you will have the opportunity to:
- Network with professionals from a range of services
- Tour the hospice facilities
- Learn about our referral criteria and process
- Explore the support available from an early stage, including family support, counselling, therapies, symptom management, respite, wishes, groups and events
- Gain insight into support provided by our SPACE Team, Community Team and wider hospice services
- Meet colleagues from our Care, SPACE, Family Support, Therapy, Counselling, Community and Care Events teams
- Discuss referral pathways, eligibility and family needs with our specialist staff
Whether you already refer families to Shooting Star or would like to learn more about our services, this event offers a valuable opportunity to build connections, gain insight into our services and referral pathways, and explore how we can work together to ensure more families receive the right support at the right time.
