Friends of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices
We have 19 dedicated Friends’ Groups who give up some of their free time to fundraise for Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, ensuring that we can support babies, children and young people, with life-limiting conditions, and their families.
Each year these incredible volunteer groups raise over £100,000. But they’re not only crucial to raising funds, they spread awareness and encourage others to fundraise too!
Being part of a Friends’ Group is a great way to have fun, meet new people and learn new skills, while playing an important role in ensuring we are able to keep our vital care services running.
Our friends groups organise a wide range of activities from curry nights to jazz afternoons and barn dances to quiz nights. Every group is unique and organise events that they will also enjoy themselves, so being a member of a group can be a lot of fun.
