Unfortunately, the pool at Shooting Star House is closed and we are not able to take bookings for hydrotherapy sessions at the moment. Hydrotherapy sessions are still available at Christopher’s in Guildford. We apologise for any inconvenience.

You can book sessions in the hydrotherapy pool at Christopher’s or Shooting Star House using our online calendar, or by emailing the hydrotherapy team.
If you cannot find a convenient session time for your family, please let us know and we will look for alternatives. You will need to bring your own towels.
Please be aware that your family needs to be under the care of the hospice to be able to use our hydrotherapy pools. To make sure the pool is available to as many Shooting Star families as possible, we may need to cancel a booking to make sure that other families have equal access.

Splashers – Supported swim sessions for little splashers and parents
Tadpoles (1-2 year olds)
Tadpoles is our monthly specialist swim group for babies and toddlers with complex needs, such as tracheostomies We have created an environment tailored to your child’s needs in our hydrotherapy pool – warm water, specialised support and a judgment free space. A group of parents and children will swim together in our pool with the support of our care team. Each month has a different theme, from dinosaurs to the weather and Alice in Wonderland.
Ducklings (pre-schoolers)
Ducklings is our monthly group for slightly older children. This group encourages children to explore their surroundings, interact with each other, take part in a sensory story and have fun in the water. These sessions are also designed to empower you to feel more confident in the water with your child, particularly if they have conditions that impact movement.
