Research at Shooting Star

Shooting Star Children’s Hospices is dedicated to providing exceptional care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families. We recognise that research in children's palliative care is limited compared to adult care, so we actively participate in innovative studies to bridge this gap. Our initiatives include conducting our own research, partnering with healthcare providers and universities, and supporting external researchers. We emphasise ethical, child-focused approaches, ensuring that the perspectives of children, young people, and their families are central to our work. Our commitment to research excellence positions us as one of the leading voices among UK children's hospices, striving to enhance the quality of paediatric palliative care nationwide.
